On Sunday evening, talks were going on between the administration and the relatives of the deceased regarding the funeral, during which clashes broke out and people pelted stones

The situation is worsening after the death of a Dalit student in Jalore district of Rajasthan. Despite the persuasion of the police, the family members have refused to take the dead body. The stone pelting took place after a clash between the police and the protesters. There have also been attempts to sabotage the vehicles. Seeing the matter escalating, the police used mild force, during which some protesters were injured.

It is being told that the angry protesters have blocked all the roads of the village by parked vehicles. The police are unable to even send the injured to the hospital. The ongoing talks between the administration and the family failed and the relatives refused to lift the dead body. After which the situation got out of the control of the police. The stone-pelting started after a clash between the police and the protesters. Police used force to disperse the people in which many people got hurt. Most of the injured are family relatives.

According to media reports, the body of student Indra Meghwal reached his village on Sunday. The remaining talks were going on between the family members and the officials of the administration regarding the funeral of the child. The relatives demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation from the authorities, government job to a member and cancellation of recognition of the school. The officials assured to fulfill their demands, but the Bhim Army people present there said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should tweet about it, we will pick up the dead body only after seeing it.

Officials said that this cannot happen all of a sudden, there is a way to do it. There was an atmosphere of tension on this matter and a heated argument started. After this people started pelting stones. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the police resorted to lathi-charge and dispersed the protesters. The police threw all the relatives out of the house except the relatives. After this, compensation was agreed between the officials and the family members and the last rites of the child were performed late in the evening.
